Amber Flow

“Some solids remember they used to be liquid.

Amber glass flows in a form that appears frozen only if you don’t look long enough. The longer you look, the more the piece admits: it is still moving. It is still, in some way, becoming.

We forget, most days, that we are moving. That the body renewing itself right now is not the body of last year. That every certainty we currently hold used to be, at some point, a question. Glass will do to us what people rarely do to us — it will show us we are not as fixed as we thought.

This sculpture isn’t about material science.

It’s about the version of you still, quietly, flowing.
