The Services are provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nirva Life disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and continuous operation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nirva Life shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive, or special damages arising from your use of the Services, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services without notice for violations of these Terms, applicable law, or any related policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, license grants, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.

These Terms may change at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Legal Center. Continued use of the Services following changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

We use privacy-respecting analytics tools to understand aggregate usage patterns, improve our products, and detect fraud or abuse. Where required by law, we obtain your consent before deploying non-essential analytics cookies.

We collect limited device information (operating system, browser type, viewport size, referring source) for performance, compatibility, and security purposes.

When you create an account, we store the information you provide, maintain a record of your logins and preferences, and retain a session cookie so you remain signed in across visits.

Photographs, artwork, videos, and other media you upload are stored securely on our systems and processed only as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill your submission.

Journal entries, self-reported wellness data, and Nervous System Intelligence assessments are private to your account by default. Unless you explicitly share them, this information is not made public.

Certain features use artificial intelligence to generate personalized educational insights, summaries, and reflections. Where AI is applied to your data, it is done in service of the feature you invoked, subject to reasonable safeguards, and never used to make consequential decisions about you without human oversight.

We work with vetted service providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, and AI model access. These providers act only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Payments are processed by regulated third-party providers (such as Stripe). Nirva Life does not store full card numbers or CVV codes on its own systems.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information, including encrypted transport, hashed passwords, access controls, and regular security review. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law, contract, or legitimate business need. Backup copies may persist for a limited additional period.

You may request deletion of your account at any time by writing to privacy@nirvalife.com. We will honor the request within a reasonable time subject to legal, safety, and record-keeping obligations.

All community members — readers, contributors, practitioners, researchers, and staff — are expected to conduct themselves professionally in every interaction, whether public or private.

Disagreement is welcome. Contempt is not. Members are expected to engage others with the same care they would want extended to themselves. Harassment, personal attacks, threats, doxxing, and discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or any other protected characteristic are prohibited.

Nirva Life is committed to intellectually honest engagement with the science of the nervous system. Members are expected to represent research accurately, distinguish clinical claims from educational content, and disclose limitations of the evidence they cite.

Fraud, plagiarism, undisclosed conflicts of interest, and misrepresentation of credentials or affiliations are grounds for immediate removal from any Nirva Life program, competition, or community.

Nirva Life has no tolerance for harassment in any form. Reports may be sent to community@nirvalife.com and will be handled confidentially by our editorial and community teams.

Content that promotes demonstrably false medical, psychological, or scientific claims, or that discourages users from seeking appropriate professional care, may be removed at Nirva Life’s sole discretion.

Nirva Life reserves the right to remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts for violations of these standards. Where possible, we prefer education and dialogue over enforcement — but repeated or severe violations will result in removal.

Contributor represents and warrants that they are at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority where they live), have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement, and hold all rights necessary to submit the content. Where the contribution is made on behalf of an organization, Contributor represents that they have authority to bind that organization to this Agreement.

Contributor represents and warrants that the submitted content is original, has not been previously published unless expressly disclosed, does not infringe any third-party copyright, trademark, right of publicity, or other proprietary right, and does not contain defamatory, unlawful, or otherwise actionable material. Where the content includes identifiable persons or their likeness, Contributor represents that all necessary consents and releases have been obtained.

Contributor agrees to disclose in writing, at the time of submission, any material conflict of interest that could reasonably be perceived to influence the content — including financial relationships with the subject of the work, undisclosed sponsorships, promotional arrangements, and personal relationships with editors, jurors, or Nirva Life staff.

Where any portion of a submission was generated, assisted, or materially edited using artificial intelligence tools, Contributor must disclose this at the time of submission and identify the tools used and the nature of the AI involvement. Undisclosed AI assistance is a material breach of this Agreement and grounds for withdrawal of publication, awards, or compensation.

Contributor retains ownership of the copyright in the content they submit, subject to the license granted to Nirva Life below.

By submitting content, Contributor grants Nirva Life a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:

Nirva Life retains full editorial discretion over all submitted content. Submission does not guarantee publication, award, or feature placement. Nirva Life may edit for clarity, length, style, or accuracy; decline to publish without explanation; archive, republish, or discontinue content at any time; select or de-select finalists in competitions; and sequence, group, or contextualize content editorially.

Eligibility for publication, editorial features, competitions, awards, royalties, licensing, and any financial compensation is conditioned on continued compliance with this Agreement and any additional program-specific rules communicated at the time of submission. Nirva Life reserves the right to withdraw or reallocate awards, prizes, or compensation where a Contributor is found to be in material breach of this Agreement.

Where fraud, plagiarism, undisclosed AI assistance, or material misrepresentation is discovered after publication or after an award has been paid, Contributor agrees to repay any prize money, honoraria, or financial compensation received, and to reimburse Nirva Life for reasonable costs incurred as a direct result of the misrepresentation — including the cost of retraction, republication, and legal review.

Nirva Life may, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, remove content, decline further submissions, or de-list a Contributor for violation of this Agreement, the Terms of Use, or applicable law.

This Agreement may be terminated by either party by written notice. Termination does not affect the license granted above with respect to content already submitted, nor any surviving obligations under this Agreement.

Contributor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Nirva Life, LLC and its officers, directors, employees, editors, jurors, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: breach of any representation or warranty; infringement of any third-party right by the submitted content; undisclosed AI assistance, plagiarism, or misrepresentation; or Contributor’s violation of applicable law.

Nirva Life does not diagnose disease. Assessments, glossaries, and reflective tools available through the Services are educational and are not intended to diagnose any medical or mental-health condition.

Use of the Services does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-patient, or clinician-patient relationship between you and Nirva Life or any of its authors, editors, contributors, or staff.

AI-generated output on any Nirva Life property is educational only. It is not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or professional advice, and it should not be relied upon as such.

Artificial intelligence can produce output that is incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Nirva Life makes no guarantee about the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content and disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law.

You remain responsible for any healthcare, legal, financial, or personal decisions you make. AI features do not exercise judgment on your behalf. If a decision matters, consult a qualified human professional.

AI features should never replace a licensed clinician, therapist, physician, attorney, financial advisor, or other qualified professional.

Where AI is used in consequential contexts — such as in NirvaCare clinician tools or research summarization — Nirva Life applies human review, editorial oversight, and safety guardrails as appropriate to the feature.

Contributors are required to disclose any material use of AI in their submissions. See the Contributor Agreement above.

You agree that any legal action or proceeding arising out of or related to these Terms will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction and venue of those courts.

If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

This Legal Center, together with any product-specific terms referenced from within it, constitutes the entire agreement between you and Nirva Life with respect to the subject matter, and supersedes any prior representations or agreements.
