We spend so much of our lives trying to stay dry — emotionally, physically, in every possible way. We rehearse composure. We arrange ourselves before we open the door. And then, sometimes, a moment arrives that soaks through anyway. Not because we failed to prepare. Because the moment was bigger than any preparation.
