Evening on the Orinoco
“Some evenings soften a whole life.
Golden hour turns the river into liquid light. The jungle breathes in amber and green. Nothing dramatic is happening. And yet, standing inside this frame, something inside a person begins to unclench.
Landscape has always been more than scenery. It is a mirror for whichever version of ourselves the day has left us with. The same river cannot be seen the same way by a woman who has just fallen in love and a woman who has just said goodbye.
This painting isn’t about a river.
It’s about which version of yourself would meet this evening.
What landscape would your inner life look like this evening — and what does it need you to notice?”
