Paper Light

Hanji — Korean paper — layered in translucent sheets. Warm natural light passes through. The paper was made from the inner bark of a mulberry tree. What began as living wood became a page. The light through hanji is not the light through glass. It is softer. It breathes.

Everything we call “refined” in a life was, at some point, something raw. A raw material. A raw feeling. A raw truth. Refinement is not the opposite of rawness — it is what rawness becomes when someone takes the time to work with it patiently.
