“A textile can be a library.

Peruvian festival weaving. Extraordinary colour. Traditional Andean geometric patterns. Each pattern is a word. Each garment is a sentence about who the person wearing it is, where they are from, and what community they belong to.

We live inside cultures that treat clothing as self-expression — as if we invented ourselves in the closet. Older traditions understood something quieter. That what we wear is often less about who we invented and more about who we belong to. The best clothes announce our people before they announce us.
