See Where an Experience Lives in the Body

Emotion, located in the place it is actually organized.

What It Reveals

The nervous system stores experience in tissue long before the mind narrates it. Anxiety has a location. Grief has a location. Anger has a location. When the body becomes the map, an experience stops being an abstract feeling and becomes something with an address.

How It Works

A simple, elegant body silhouette. You mark where the sensation lives, its temperature, its texture, its density. The picture builds over weeks. What kept moving through you begins to have a shape.

In Practice

The client points at their sternum before they can find a word. Later, an entire year of body-maps shows the same location lighting up on the same day each month. What felt like unpredictable heaviness turns out to have a rhythm.
