The Space Between Reaction and Regulation

A Letter From the Editor
The holidays are the loudest editors of the year. They resurrect old rooms, old voices, old versions of us we thought we had outgrown. And yet, if you listen carefully, they also offer something extraordinary: the chance to notice the pattern.
This issue is dedicated to the noticing. To the still moment before the reaction. To the sacred practice of choosing what stays and what does not. Neuroscience calls it re-consolidation. Ancient traditions called it ritual. We call it grace.
“The loop that has been running your life is not who you are. It is a script. And the extraordinary, quiet work of a life examined is choosing the next line yourself.”
The women in these pages are not new versions of themselves. They are more accurate ones. May you close this year the same way — not different, but truer.
With gentleness,
