Identify
What you are experiencing has a name, and a nervous system reason. Understanding is the first medicine.

Regulate
Once you understand what is happening, gently help the nervous system come back to a place it can think from.

- Connecting with a trusted person.

Validate
Your nervous system is trying to protect you. Your reaction makes sense. Validation is not permission for unhealthy behavior — it is permission to feel understood.
