Definition

Within Nervous System Intelligence, neuroplasticity is treated as the biological floor that makes all therapeutic change possible — real, honest, patient, and specific.

Why it matters

This framing holds both truths: change is possible, and change takes what real change takes.

The Science

Contemporary neuroscience treats plasticity as ongoing across the lifespan, mechanistically diverse, and modifiable by input.

The NSI Perspective

NSI holds four commitments in plasticity care. First, change is possible. Second, change is specific, not general. Third, dose and attention matter. Fourth, marketing is not evidence.

Clinical Implications

Effective care applies plasticity principles honestly and patiently.

Practical Application

Your nervous system can learn. It can also unlearn. Both take time, effort, and the right inputs. There is no shortcut, and there is also no reason for despair.
